Florida MVA leads and live transfers.
Florida is one of the most technical MVA markets in the country. No-fault rules, a short treatment window and the 2023 tort changes all shape which claimants are worth a retainer conversation. Every Florida opportunity is exclusive and screened against the criteria you set.

The Florida MVA market.
Population and traffic concentrate in the South Florida tri-county area, Central Florida and Tampa Bay, with Jacksonville anchoring the northeast. Tourist traffic and the I-95, I-4 and I-75 corridors keep crash activity high year round.

Florida legal landscape
At a glance- Insurance system
- No-fault state. Drivers carry Personal Injury Protection (PIP), which pays a portion of medical bills and lost wages regardless of who caused the crash.
- Fault rule
- Modified comparative negligence. Since the 2023 tort reform law, a claimant found more than 50% at fault generally cannot recover damages.
- Filing deadline
- Generally 2 years for negligence claims arising after March 24, 2023. The previous period was 4 years.
- PIP benefits generally require the claimant to receive initial medical treatment within 14 days of the accident.
- To pursue pain and suffering damages outside the no-fault system, the injury generally must meet a permanency threshold, such as a permanent injury or significant scarring.
- PIP medical benefits can be capped at a lower amount unless a provider determines the claimant had an emergency medical condition.

Criteria
How Florida law shapes buyer criteria.
Criteria are set per buyer. In Florida, these are the points buyers most often build into their rules.
- 01
Treatment timing
PIP generally depends on care within 14 days, so first treatment date is a common Florida criterion. Many buyers require treatment to have started, not just be planned.
- 02
Injury severity signals
Non-economic damages usually require a permanency threshold. Buyers often screen for ongoing care, imaging or specialist referrals.
- 03
Fault share
With the 51% bar in place, a clear not at fault account matters more than it used to. Citation and crash description can both be part of your criteria.
- 04
Tighter date windows
The 2 year filing window makes aged accidents riskier. Most Florida buyers set a maximum accident age well inside it.
